Guests of Now Jade Release Baby Sea Turtles

Releasing baby turtles into their natural environment is a highlight for guests staying at Now Jade Riviera Cancun this time of year.  It is an amazing opportunity for guests of all ages to hold these precious turtles just before they are released. The turtle release program is part of our ongoing turtle conservation efforts.

Mother Caray Green Sea Turtles visit the beaches in the Riviera Maya to lay their eggs and as part of our environmental efforts we protect the nests until they hatch.  We also educate our guests on safety precautions that should be taken during the fragile sea turtle nesting months, May through October.

Check out the photos below of the first guests of the season who released the turtles back into their natural habitat at Now Jade.

Dreaming of Freedom Turtle Program at Now Jade Riviera Cancun

Our guests at Now Jade Riviera Cancun recently had the opportunity to experience the joy of releasing baby turtles back into their natural environment. It was a truly magical day for everyone who participated!

The turtle release was part of our ongoing turtle conservation efforts, which includes educating our guests, as well as the surrounding community, on safety precautions that should be taken during the fragile sea turtle nesting months, May through October.

Our resort works closely with local biologists to project sea turtle nests and then allows our guests to release the turtles into the ocean once they have hatched. If you are interested this experience, it is also offered at several Dreams Resorts & Spas as well. Check out the pictures below for an inside look at some of our guests at Now Jade releasing the turtles back into their natural habitat.
