Now Resorts & Spas Celebrate Cinco De Mayo!

At Now Resorts & Spas, we always love a good fiesta, especially when it has a special significance! On May 5th, our resorts celebrated Cinco de Mayo, the Mexican Army’s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.

Now Resorts & Spas commemorated the prideful holiday alongside our guests with a day of fun-filled activities! Guests were treated to traditional Mexican music, games and colorful décor! In the evening, everyone enjoyed a starlit BBQ dinner with lots of food and of course, tequila!

Celebrating the Super Bowl in Paradise at Now Resorts & Spas!

At Now Resorts & Spas, our guests experienced a celebration filled with football fun for Super Bowl 50! Everyone was decked out in their team colors and jerseys as we cheered for every touchdown and tackle of the big game! Our guests were able to watch on our giant outdoor screen while enjoying a deluxe tailgate buffet and a full open bar! Football pools with excellent prizes, buckets of ice-cold beer, cheerleaders and our Entertainment Team made this a day our guests won’t soon forget!

Now Resorts & Spas Partcipated in Earth Hour

Now Resorts & Spas want to keep planet Earth beautiful for the next generation. We joined the global event, Earth Hour, last Saturday, March 23rd joining millions who turned off the lights for an hour to express concern for the environment. 

 The entire day was inspired by earth-friendly activities and at 8:30pm both Now Jade Riviera Cancun and Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun turned off our lights for one full hour in all common areas.  As the resort went dark, we invited our guests to enjoy cocktail parties on the beach, followed by a thrilling live entertainment shows.

Santa Visited Now Resorts & Spas

The guests at Now Resorts & Spas were all on Santa’s nice list this week! The Now Entertainment Teams pulled strings with their friends in the North Pole for a special  Christmas visit from Santa and his helpers. The Explorer’s Club for Kids and Core Zone for Teens hosted holiday-themed activities to get the young guests feel right at home for the holidays.  Take a look at some of the highlights from Christmas at the resorts. Now Larimar Punta Cana Presents JEERK

Starting this Friday, Now Larimar Punta Cana, will present a new exciting live performance – JEERK.   Get ready for this high-energy show complete with a unique blend of tap dance, percussion and rock. The talented group of five young men use ordinary objects as musical instruments including hockey sticks, chairs and even portable toilets!

Mayan-themed Events at Now Jade and Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun

The year of the Maya is upon us! Since December 21, 2012 marks a special day for the Mayans, a day in which they believe the world would be reborn, Now Jade and Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun are celebrating by embracing their cultural roots. Marking this significant year in Mayan culture the resorts are planning daily activities designed to introduce guests to Mayan history and culture and, of course, entertain guests staying with us from November 22 to December 21! 

This month-long celebration includes a classic Mayan buffet dinner on the beach complete with specialties such as spiced hot cocoa and empanadas, Mayan fire shows, stargazing events, Mayan-style cooking classes and much more.  Guests of Now Sapphire can even experience an ancient ritual at the spa, Temazcal.  This healing ritual will leave the participants “reborn” spiritually by releasing the mind, body and soul of stresses and toxins. Visit the Spa by Pevonia at Now Sapphire to book an appointment for this special treatment.

Viva Mexico: Now Resorts Celebrate Mexican Independence Day

This weekend we will be celebrating Mexico’s Independence Day with our guests! Now Jade Riviera Cancun, Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun and Now Amber Puerto Vallarta have a full roster of activities and events for their guests to get into the festive spirit of the national holiday.    

Traditional Mexican games including a balero tournament and soccer games will be played on the beach led by the enthusiastic Now Entertainment Teams.  The Explorer’s Club for Kids has many themed activities including arts and crafts making the ‘Eye of God’, a Mexican handicraft made by cotton string, its wood cross wrap in colorful string.   Mariachi bands, Tequila tasting and a Mexican Fiesta are all part of the lineup of exciting festivities for the special holiday today and tomorrow.

We are not the only ones excited for Mexico’s Independence Day, the entire country commemorates this important holiday with flags flown throughout the country and of course there are parties everywhere! The Mexican War of Independence began on September 16, 1810 and now that day is celebrated each year making Mexico’s Independence Day the most important national holiday.
