Welcome to the Explorer’s Club!

There’s nothing like having time to relax and the fun, new experiences of a vacation to bring family together. However, sometimes parents need some alone time to bond on their own! That’s where the Now Resorts & Spas Explorer’s Club comes in. Kids between the ages of 3-12 can have the time of their lives at the Explorer’s Club, which is completely supervised by American Red Cross certified staff and open daily until long after the sun goes down, allowing parents ample time to relax without any worries.

Halloween at Now Resorts & Spas

Are you getting ready to spend Halloween at Now Resorts & Spas? Don’t forget to pack your costumes this week for a ‘spook-tacular’ time! Themed Halloween parties will begin early in the day Wednesday for the Explorer’s Club for Kids and the celebration will continue with trick or treating, pumpkin carving, face painting, haunted house and of course a costume contest! There is something for everyone to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Mayan-themed Events at Now Jade and Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun

The year of the Maya is upon us! Since December 21, 2012 marks a special day for the Mayans, a day in which they believe the world would be reborn, Now Jade and Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun are celebrating by embracing their cultural roots. Marking this significant year in Mayan culture the resorts are planning daily activities designed to introduce guests to Mayan history and culture and, of course, entertain guests staying with us from November 22 to December 21! 

This month-long celebration includes a classic Mayan buffet dinner on the beach complete with specialties such as spiced hot cocoa and empanadas, Mayan fire shows, stargazing events, Mayan-style cooking classes and much more.  Guests of Now Sapphire can even experience an ancient ritual at the spa, Temazcal.  This healing ritual will leave the participants “reborn” spiritually by releasing the mind, body and soul of stresses and toxins. Visit the Spa by Pevonia at Now Sapphire to book an appointment for this special treatment.

Our Explorer’s Clubs for Kids at Now Jade and Now Sapphire are planning exciting Mayan-themed activities and arts and crafts too. Teenagers staying at Now Sapphire can also enjoy special events at the Core Zone Teens Club! Each resort will have its own schedule, so be sure to ask your concierge for the schedule upon your arrival at the resorts. All of the special Mayan events are included in your  Unlimited-Luxury® experience!

Explorer’s Club for Kids Camp Out at Now Larimar

Now Larimar Punta Cana has countless activities for the entire family to enjoy during your Unlimited-Luxury® vacation.  Our younger guests, ages 3-12 years old, are welcome to participate in age-appropriate events at the Explorer’s Club for Kids! Viva Mexico: Now Resorts Celebrate Mexican Independence Day

This weekend we will be celebrating Mexico’s Independence Day with our guests! Now Jade Riviera Cancun, Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun and Now Amber Puerto Vallarta have a full roster of activities and events for their guests to get into the festive spirit of the national holiday.    

Traditional Mexican games including a balero tournament and soccer games will be played on the beach led by the enthusiastic Now Entertainment Teams.  The Explorer’s Club for Kids has many themed activities including arts and crafts making the ‘Eye of God’, a Mexican handicraft made by cotton string, its wood cross wrap in colorful string.   Mariachi bands, Tequila tasting and a Mexican Fiesta are all part of the lineup of exciting festivities for the special holiday today and tomorrow.

We are not the only ones excited for Mexico’s Independence Day, the entire country commemorates this important holiday with flags flown throughout the country and of course there are parties everywhere! The Mexican War of Independence began on September 16, 1810 and now that day is celebrated each year making Mexico’s Independence Day the most important national holiday.

Explorer’s Club at Now Larimar

One of our favorite features of Now Larimar Punta Cana is our fantastic Explorer’s Club for kids, which is included as part of our Unlimited-Luxury® privileges. The Explorer’s Club is a fully supervised children’s program with arts & crafts, games, playground area, indoor game room with TV, video games, weekly camp out adventures, big screen movies on the beach and more.

The Explorer’s Club is open from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm for kids from 3 to 12 years old, giving parents some well-deserved time of their own! Children have the opportunity to make friends from around the world, while parents have the opportunity to reconnect with one another during their stay with us. And no worries, because the entire Explorer’s Club staff is certified in both CPR and First Aid! Plus, parents receive a beeper should they be needed for any reason.

So you’re probably wondering how this is even possible. As part of our Unlimited-Luxury® privileges, we offer the Explorer’s Club for children ages 3-12. The Explorer’s Club includes exciting activities and adventures that your children will love and is fully supervised by professionals who are certified in CPR and First Aid. If you interested in other childcare options, talk to the resort concierge for details on our babysitting services.

Now that you finally have some alone time with your significant other, a whole new kind of fun can begin! Wondering what you can do? Book a couples massage at our spa, take a walk along the beach, make reservations for a private romantic dinner or simply order room service and enjoy the peace and quiet!

However you choose to spend your alone time at our resort, we’re sure it will be memorable. And don’t worry, there will be plenty of time to splash in the pool and play in the sand with your children –- that is if you can get them to leave the Explorer’s Club!

Introducing…Sunny the Turtle!

Are you planning a family vacation to Now Jade Riviera Cancun? If so, we can’t wait to introduce your children to Sunny the Turtle, our Explorer’s Club “mascot”!

What better way to kick off your vacation than having your children greeted by Sunny the Turtle upon arrival! Our friendly mascot brings smiles and laughter to many of the children who stay at our resort. He is usually dressed up to match the event of the week and loves to have his picture taken with our guests!

Towel Art at Now Jade

At Now Jade Riviera Cancun, we love leaving little surprises in the rooms for our guests. Our staff is trained in the art of towel origami, so often times there will be swans, monkeys, elephants and other fun towel animals to greet our guests when they return to their room for the night.

Of course these towel animals are a huge hit with children, so we thought it would be fun to offer an interactive towel art class just for kids. The class is a great way for children to learn how to make a variety of towel creatures, which is sure to impress their family and friends back home.
