When past guest Mr. V contacted Now Jade Riviera Cancun before his upcoming arrival, he informed the resort staff that this time, he would be returning for a special occasion — to celebrate his daughter Elizabeth’s birthday! Upon the family’s arrival, Quality Manager Erika Padilla greeted Mr. V telling him that the Now Jade team had planned an exciting activity for his children in the kitchen.

During the check-in process, resort staff discovered that Mr. V himself also had celebrated a birthday just a few days prior. This gave the team an idea and they added one more element to the surprise.

Later, the staff met with Justin and Elizabeth, Mr. V’s two children, in the lobby. With permission from both Mr. and Mrs. V, Justin and Elizabeth followed the Now Jade team members into the kitchen to prepare a surprise birthday cake for their dad. The clever housekeeping team even designed them official kitchen uniforms! This made Justin and Elizabeth very happy.

With the help of the resort’s Chef Francisco, who attended to the family during their previous stays on property, the children decorated the birthday cake. During the family’s dinner that night, Chef Francisco presented them with the cake, and Justin and Elizabeth were very excited to give the special belated birthday present to their father.

However, the surprises did not end there. The next day, without her knowing, housekeeping team members decorated Elizabeth’s room in celebration of her birthday. Then later that night, restaurant staff served Elizabeth a special dessert in the shape of a piñata for her to enjoy with her family.

The family was very pleased with the excellent, personalized service they received from the entire Now Jade team and said that the staff exceeded all of their expectations.
