The year of the Maya is upon us and that calls for a big celebration! We kicked off the party last week with themed events at the Now Resorts & Spas in the Riviera Maya region. The Mayans predicted that on December 21, 2012 the world would be reborn and Now Jade Rivera Cancun and Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun have planned special events and activities focused around the Mayan culture for guests. Learn to make Mexican-style chocolate, take a Mayan language class, watch a traditional Mayan show and gaze at the stars as the Mayans did and more!

The excitement is also found in the Explorer’s Club for kids with themed-activities including arts and crafts, building sandcastles in the shape of Mayan temples and so much more!
