Did you know that at Now Resorts & Spas we have a drink named after the area which our resorts, Now Jade Riviera Cancun & Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun, call home? It’s called the Riviera Maya.
In this post, we’re going to teach you how to make this yummy cocktail so you can enjoy it even when you’re not visiting us!
Riviera Maya Recipe
1oz Melon Liqueur
4oz Orange Juice
1 ½ oz rum
1 oz strawberry nectar/juice
Mix together the rum and strawberry nectar in a separate glass/jug. Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the melon liqueur over the ice cubes. Once the melon liqueur has reached the bottom of the glass, gently pour in the orange juice so that it stays on top of the melon liqueur. Once this has settled on top, carefully pour in the strawberry/rum mix so that this floats on top. Garnish with a slice of orange!

had that drink in Cancun, at the Gran Caribe real resort and spa….will I be able to find the ingredients??? strawberry nectar ??? lemon liqueur ????
I found it fairly easier this way, all ingredients are readily available across most liquor stores in North America and recipe is divided in two parts:
Glass no.1
-Fill glass with ice
-pour 2 oz of melon liqueur (Midori is the most common)
-slowly pour 4 oz of orange juice
Glass no2
– fill 1/4 a glass with strawberry flavor syrup (Available in most reputable liquor stores), 1 oz of rum, and top glass with ice. Blend this mixture.
-slowly pour the slushy strawberry cocktail on top of Glass no.1
