When are there going to be more updates of what the resort actually looks like? I’m thinking of bringing a group in April and would love more info!
I don’t see any replies from your question Monifa – but I would really like to see some assurances that they are on track with April 1st open date. I called the AMResorts call center and they were hesitant and didn’t exactly fill me with confidence that it would be open. I have looked at facebbok (nothing), and no reply here also. I feel that if they are taking bookings that they need to get ontop of the online PR ASAP, (i.e. Tripadvisor, facebook, twitter), which will really help them provide confidence that things are on track(or not) to help set expecations. For example, look at the Occidental reviews, people are down grading them from their relaunch and I am sure this is costing them in bookings.

My husband and I and our two young daughters ages 4 & 5 are traveling to the Now Amber in mid April. It sounds great but any updated reports and pics would be reassuring.
I’am at the Grand Venetian now (Mar. 8th) We go past the Dreams Resort everyday. They are working very hard. From what I can see the structure is up (beautiful) and the road leading to the resort is being refinished. Next week they have plans to take people on tours of the resort. I have seen people being hired for various jobs also. It is an ambitious deadline but from what I’ve seen of the progress they’ve made in the past 6 weeks I think they can achieve it. Of course if you go at the first of April, I think you can expect a few problems but you were also probably given a very good price. I haven’t checked out the pool area from the beach yet. Maybe I’ll go for a walk today and tell you what I see.
we are due to book in on april 1st,, hope all goes well, i am sure there will be a few hiccups but to be expected , the pay off is a new room a new bed, and a new sun tan,,,,,,hope to have a great holiday there, see you soon,,

I have read that the Malecon is “just steps” away but in other reviews read that it is a 40 minute walk to the board walk. Can you give more information on this?
