At Now Resorts & Spas, we have a lot to be thankful for. Each day we get to see the smiling faces of happy vacationers having the time of their lives. Knowing that we’re able to bring that kind of joy to people is an incredible feeling, and we wanted to give a big Thanksgiving shout out to all our wonderful guests for making Now Resorts & Spas so great! As you can see from last year’s celebration, those who choose to spend their Thanksgiving with us are in for a real treat. If you are joining us this year, get ready for a traditional feast and lots of family-fun activities.
Just because you’re away from home doesn’t mean you have to miss out on holidays! At Now Resorts & Spas, we know that many of our families love celebrating Halloween, so we always host our very own “Spooktacular.” The events, which takes place across all of our resorts, features a costume contest for kids, pumpkin decorating, fall food creation stations, and trick-or-treating. If you plan on being at one of our resorts on October 31, bring your costume and be ready to celebrate all the traditions of Halloween!

This past Sunday, January 6th was Dia de Reyes also known as Three Kings Day or the Epiphany. It is a Catholic holiday that is celebrated on the same day each year, 12 days after Christmas. It is believed that baby Jesus was visited by three wise men giving him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. In Mexico this holiday is widely celebrated!
Part of the traditions included drinking hot chocolate and cutting pieces of the traditional sweetbread topped with candied fruit, Rosca de Reyes. This special sweetbread is a tradition that has been going on for years. The shape of the bread is in an oval representing the kings’ crowns and the colorful candied fruit on top represent the jewels of the crown. Each guest cut their own slice of the bread and inside one of the pieces is hidden a figure of baby Jesus. It is said that the person who finds the figurine is responsible to host a party and prepare tamales to be enjoyed on February 2nd.
Take a look at more photos of our guests enjoying the traditions of Dia de Reyes at Now Amber Puerto Vallarta.
Guests at all of the Now Resorts & Spas will enjoy a festive holiday next week from decorations, holiday entertainment and a feast to mark December 25th. And there might be a special visit from our favorite “jolly elf!”
Easter is always a favorite time for families to travel and escape the cold before spring weather officially arrives. It’s also a great way for families to spend quality time together without the bustle and hustle of everyday life. At Now Resorts & Spas, Easter is one of our favorite holidays because we get to welcome so many families to our resorts!
With a little over a week until the big day, we are currently working on the finishing touches for this year’s Easter celebration. Kids can expect to meet the Easter Bunny and to partake in awesome Easter Egg hung, in addition to a number of other fun spring themed activities.
