It’s no secret we love the beach at Now Resorts & Spas, which is why on this #BeachThursday we’re so excited to share photos from a very important celebration! This past Saturday, March 28, all of Now Resorts participated in the worldwide event: Earth Hour. Participants are encouraged to go without electricity for one full hour from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. to raise awareness about conservation! We had a blast celebrating in the dark and can’t wait to share the below photos from all the fun!
Thanks to everyone who celebrated with us!
It’s the most wonderful time of year and the man of the hour is resting up for his big day! Most people picture Santa Claus in his typical red snowsuit and surrounded by snow at the North Pole, but we think he’s rocking those khaki shorts and sunglasses. You can’t blame the man for seeking some rest and relaxation at Now Amber Puerto Vallarta before he embarks on his annual journey around the world. If anyone deserves to lay back and sip a fruity concoction on the beach, it’s Santa!
We were honored to host Mr. Kris Kringle himself, and our younger guests were especially thrilled at this special guest appearance. Who knows… perhaps he enjoyed his vacation enough to make a reappearance in a couple weeks for our official holiday celebrations!
At Now Resorts & Spas, we have a lot to be thankful for. Each day we get to see the smiling faces of happy vacationers having the time of their lives. Knowing that we’re able to bring that kind of joy to people is an incredible feeling, and we wanted to give a big Thanksgiving shout out to all our wonderful guests for making Now Resorts & Spas so great! As you can see from last year’s celebration, those who choose to spend their Thanksgiving with us are in for a real treat. If you are joining us this year, get ready for a traditional feast and lots of family-fun activities.
Kids in the Explorer’s Club enjoy a classic Thanksgiving meal and fun, fully supervised activities while giving Mom and Dad some alone time!
Say hello to our distinguished guest Mr. Tom Turkey!
There’s plenty of Thanksgiving family fun at Now Resorts & Spas.
It may not be your typical Thanksgiving scene, but these pool-side pilgrims and Indians sure look like they’re having a great time!
Just because you’re away from home doesn’t mean you have to miss out on holidays! At Now Resorts & Spas, we know that many of our families love celebrating Halloween, so we always host our very own “Spooktacular.” The events, which takes place across all of our resorts, features a costume contest for kids, pumpkin decorating, fall food creation stations, and trick-or-treating. If you plan on being at one of our resorts on October 31, bring your costume and be ready to celebrate all the traditions of Halloween!
Check out these “spooky” snapshots from last year’s celebrations:

This past Sunday, January 6th was Dia de Reyes also known as Three Kings Day or the Epiphany. It is a Catholic holiday that is celebrated on the same day each year, 12 days after Christmas. It is believed that baby Jesus was visited by three wise men giving him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. In Mexico this holiday is widely celebrated!
Part of the traditions included drinking hot chocolate and cutting pieces of the traditional sweetbread topped with candied fruit, Rosca de Reyes. This special sweetbread is a tradition that has been going on for years. The shape of the bread is in an oval representing the kings’ crowns and the colorful candied fruit on top represent the jewels of the crown. Each guest cut their own slice of the bread and inside one of the pieces is hidden a figure of baby Jesus. It is said that the person who finds the figurine is responsible to host a party and prepare tamales to be enjoyed on February 2nd.
Take a look at more photos of our guests enjoying the traditions of Dia de Reyes at Now Amber Puerto Vallarta.
