Now Sapphire Unveils Now Spa by Pevonia

Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun invites our guests to pamper themselves in the brand-new Now Spa by Pevonia! Our new spa offers services and products from Pevonia, a leader in spa care. Another new enhancement to the facilities is a new fitness center with an ideal location featuring spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea.

Guests can choice from a total of 40 different treatments, ranging from massages and body wraps to facials and spa therapies. The new spa features seven treatment rooms with a total of 15 massage tables. Two of these rooms have treatment tubs while every cabin has a private shower.

We feature a traditional Mayan ritual, Temazcal for guests to experience with steam baths and herbal essences used to harmonize and balance the body, mind and spirit. Guests can also pamper themselves with the Signature Now Spa Package, which includes a hot stone massage, manicure and pedicure, as well as an indigenous facial sure to leave your complexion visibly firmer, brighter and more radiant.    

Additionally, guests can indulge in a hydrotherapy circuit consisting of a sauna, steam room, showers, Jacuzzi, swimming pool and a peaceful outdoor relaxation area. Learn to Make Fish Tacos

You know how the saying goes, “A fish taco a day keeps the doctor away.” Okay, maybe that’s not how it goes, but here at Now Resorts & Spas, our fish tacos are out of this world and guests just can’t get enough of them. In fact, they’re one of our most popular dishes and guests can often be found enjoying them every day of their vacation with us.

If you’ve visited us recently, you know just how good these tacos are! But for those of you who haven’t had the chance to try this delicious dish, we thought we’d share the recipe with you so you can make them at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh fish fillets (Cod, Mahi Mahi or any other white fish)
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 dozen corn tortillas
  • Salsa (homemade or store bought)
  • 1 Avocado
  • Cabbage

What to do

Soak the fish in cold water for one minute then pat dry with a paper towel. Add a few tablespoons of olive oil to a large skillet and cook the fish on medium heat. The fish should be barely translucent when cooked. Second, thinly slice the cabbage and avocado. Sprinkle the cabbage with cider vinegar and salt for flavor. Next, place the tortillas on a napkin or paper towel and heat them microwave on high for 20 to 25 seconds. This will absorb the moisture. Finally, assemble your tacos.

Aloha, Football Fans

Calling all football fans! You don’t have to miss the big game while you are staying with us. The NFL Pro Bowl is coming up on January 29th and the Now Entertainment Teams are getting ready for tailgating and viewing parties on the beach! The 2012 Pro Bowl will broadcast from the Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

This is an exciting annual game that challenges the best players of the American Football League and the National Football League. Now Jade and Sapphire Riviera Cancun and Now Larimar Punta Cana will be serving up your favorite American tailgating food such as hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn and potato chips.

Our Entertainment Teams are also gearing up for Super Bowl XLVI on February 5th . Cheer on your favorite team while watching the game on a large screen on the beach. Imagine the sand at your feet and our staff serving cold drinks during the game.

Mexico Resorts Celebrated Dia de Reyes

Now Jade and Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun celebrated Dia de Reyes with guests on Friday, January 10, 2012. The holiday is also referred to as Three Kings Day or the Epiphany. In Mexico this holiday is widely celebrated! It is a Catholic holiday that is celebrated on the same day each year, 12 days after Christmas. It is believed that baby Jesus was visited by three wise men giving him gifts gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Part of the traditions included drinking  Mayan hot chocolate and cutting pieces of a sweetbread topped with candied fruit, Rosca de Reyes. This special sweetbread is a tradition that has been going on for years in Mexico. The shape of the bread is in an oval representing the kings’ crowns and the colorful candied fruit on top represent the jewels of the crown. Each guest cut their own slice of the bread and inside one of the pieces is hidden a figure of baby Jesus. It is said that the person who finds the figurine is responsible to host a party and prepare tamales to be enjoyed on February 2nd.

Pinterest is a virtual pinboard that allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. We’re using this emerging social network to showcase Now Resorts & Spas. We’re excited to be a part of a growing travel community in this visually stimulating social space. If you’re not familiar with the site, take a look at this glimpse of our profile below to give you an idea of its’ layout:

As you can see above, we have a pinboard for each of our resorts as well as boards that represent the locations and cultures our guests experience while staying with us. Pinterest works by aggregating photos that have been pinned by users into several categories like ‘beauty & health’, ‘weddings & events’, ‘travel & places’, etc. You can use Pinterest to follow users who pin content that inspires you, and also use your own pinboards to save great photos, articles and ideas you find while surfing the web. 5 Ways to Live in the Now

2012 is upon us and the New Year means a time to renew and improve ourselves. And what better way to do that than by enjoying every moment of every day. Here at Now Resorts & Spas, we try our best to savor each and every moment and constantly live in the now. Families who vacation with us are immediately introduced to this world when they visit our resorts.

Here are five ways you can live in the now this year and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime!

1. Change Your Routine. As humans, we often find ourselves doing things exactly the same way every day. We don’t like change. But this year, change something that you normally do the same way. You’ll be surprised how exciting it feels!

2. Laugh at Yourself. We often take ourselves way too seriously. This year, take a chance on doing something that you’re not good at and have fun laughing at yourself while doing it. Be open to fun and silliness.

3. Be Spontaneous. We’re often waiting for that perfect moment to do something, but why? Think of something you’d love to do if you had more time, money, and other resources—and find a way to make it happen.

4. Face Something Your Fear. The saying do one thing every day that scares you can really be a motto to live by. Try this for a few days and see how you feel.

5. Forgive & Release Resentment: We all hold grudges. This year, try to make it a point to forgive someone and release any resentment you have toward them.

All About Punta Cana

We’re planning to ring in the new year at Now Larimar Punta Cana in style with a several fun activities that will make for a festive celebration. Guests will enjoy a special meal at our Farewell 2011 Dinner before a fun-filled New Year Parade.
